Following two stints in the military as a paratroop officer, Milton Meyer has successively and successfully pursued two professional careers—first as a tax and corporate attorney (which included heading his own large Denver law firm for 23 years) and then, since 1983, as a pastel artist.
Without benefit of artistic training he is, nevertheless, a signature member of the
Pastel Society of America, the Pastel Society
of the West Coast (with designation as “Distinguished Pastellist”) and Knickerbocker Artists. He has been admitted as an artist member of the Salmagundi Club, New York, NY, and is a Founding Director of and Member of Masters Circle in the International Association of Pastel Societies. His biography has appeared in various editions of Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in American Art.
His highly representational work (an outgrowth, perhaps, of his earlier “left-brained” pursuits) reflects his extensive travels and is held by collectors across the United States and in a number of foreign countries. It has been reproduced in numerous art publications in this country and abroad. Meyer was an artist participant in the year 2000 Denver Rotary Artists of America Show, probably the nation’s most prestigious show of contemporary American representational art.
Meyer lives and paints in Littleton, a suburb of Denver, Colorado. Most of his work is now available in Giclée print form.
