To provide opportunities to pastelists to exhibit, educate the public, encourage students and further educate artists though workshops.
Society History and Activities
Land of the Umpaqua Valley runs with rivers to the Pacific Ocean. Deer abound and the deep rich forests are waiting to be painted! Our society was founded in 1987 to provide opportunities for pastelists to exhibit and to educate the public regarding the merits of pastel. We host a national show, hold workshops and group paint-outs on location. We were the first society to join IAPS.
